Donna Dainton, 17, one of Goulburn Valley Grammar School's first Year 12 students.

Four years after opening, Goulburn Valley Grammar School has enrolled its first Year 12 class.

The school opened to its first students in February, 1982, when students in Years 5, 6, 7 and 8 were accepted and the school has increased upwards one level each year.

A group of 27 students have enrolled in the first Year 12, bringing the school’s total enrolment in 300, the highest number since it opened.

Meanwhile, construction of the school is continuing, with stage four of the building program, extensions to the library, expected to be completed at the end of the month.

Twenty-seven Year 12 students enrolled at Goulburn Valley Grammar School yesterday, among them 17-year-old Chris Joyce from Benalla.
