April 3, 1984: A towering view from the top

August 06, 2017

Like a giant sundial which has lost its place the new Water Trust high level storage tank casts a shadow across the Trust's New Dookie Rd property.

The 14 million litre tower overshadows construction work on the low level storage basin that will eventually more than double the Trust's capacity for treated water.

The tower, which is the second highest free standing structure in Shepparton and weighs 2500 tonnes when full, will be opened by Minister for Water supply, Mr White, next Tuesday.

The tower and associated pumping equipment has been responsible for a dramatic increase in Shepparton water pressure.

Since February 6 the high pressure system has been switched in full time.
