Harry Altera is doing his bit for the environment and has found the ideal way to keep fit.
He has built a push car and when it was brought on its first test run in Sheppard St there were many double takes from neighbors.
It is a four wheel one man jalopy made of steel, perspex and bicycle wheels.
It cost Harry about $400 to build and is fitted with lights, indicators, horns, demister, wipers and has three speed gears.
It took several months to build and Harry has even been to the Drive-in theatre in it.
Its top speed depends largely on the fitness of the driver.
Harry doesn't expect it to revolutionise transport but it is much quieter than a car and there is not pollution problem.
