Sharon O'Neill, 17, of Shepparton, certainly had something to smile about yesterday.
An instant Tatts ticket brought for her by her mother has won $17,500.
Sharon, a machinist at Yakka, heard the good news yesterday after telephoning the Tattersalls office in Melbourne.
Sharon had received a telegram when she arrived home from work the night before.
When the cheque arrives on Monday, Sharon's parents will receive $2000 to $3000 of the winnings.
The rest will go towards paying off Sharon's Torana G Pak and a short holiday.
