Despite having cut heels, Shepparton's Wendy Frost won the 200 metres freestyle for 14 year old girls at the Goulburn Valley championships at Numurkah on Saturday.

Wendy, who the previous Saturday broke the 14 year old 100 metres record with a swim of 1.9.3 at the first day of the championships at Kyabram, is pictured relaxing after her event on Saturday.

She also competed in relay events and helped Shepparton to win the Gilchrist Shield for the most successful club at the championships.

At training on Thursday night she did a tumble turn and cracked her heels on the edge of the pool.

The resulting cuts required four stitches in one heel and three in the other, which can bee seen in the insert pictured.
