Spinning and weaving is enjoying a great revival at the moment and is becoming so popular that schools throughout the state have introduced a textile craft course into the curriculum.
Mooroopna High School has been running the course since last year and is is proving very popular with the students, both male and female.
Gail Axleby, a form 3A student is currently weaving a mat.
She has been working on it for about seven weeks and it is almost completed.
The curriculum includes carding the raw wool, spinning and weaving as well as hand knitting.
