No stress here...
Shepparton hydroplane circuit racer Rod Newton-King is far from stressed.
The self employed 34-year-old is enjoying his most successful season so far in the sport and is currently lying second in the 4.2 litre Australian championships.
His boat, called Stressed, has been the major reason for the newfound success and with just one round of the titles remaining, Newton-King us confident of grabbing the title.
The final round of the Australian titles is on in Perth this Sunday and if he can have two wins this weekend the 4.2 litre stock class will be his.
Newton-King finished second and third in the first round of the titles at Yarrawonga on New Years Day and repeated the performance in the second round at Adelaide in March.
Last month he picked up a third and fourth placing at Broken Hill and he is currently 700 points behind Tom Heffernan's Dragula.
With 400 points being awarded for a win, Newton-King says two wins at Perth may see him snatch the winner's trophy.
