April, 1972

Heralding the dawn — and looking forward to a good day’s sleep — these Guides of the First South Shepparton troop used a singalong to keep their eyes open at their weekend wake-athon.

Only one of the 30 who took part dozed a little (and she did last until 5 am).

The all-night vigil started 7 pm Friday and lasted until 7 am Saturday.

The effort raised some $170 for South Shepparton Guides building appeals.
